Sonam Kapoor is an Indian actress born in 9 June 1985 and belongs to a traditional film family. She is the daughter of film star Anil Kapoor and grandchild of Surinder Kapoor and she has also two siblings Rhea Kapoor and Harshvardhan Kapoor. Sonam started her life a orderly education and coaching process of filmmaking and is graduated in Political Science and Economics. She began her career as an assistant director on filmmaker through film Black in 2005 and made her acting debut in Romantic drama Saawariya in 2007 which was a box office flop but got initial commercial success with the romantic comedy I Hate Love Stories in 2010.
The turning point in Sonam’s career is box office hit ” Raanjhanaa” wich made her to generate her praise and best actress nominations in several awards and ceremonies. Her successful supporting roles are found in Bhaag Milkha Bhaag (2013) and in Sanju (2018) .The biographical thriller ” Neerjaa ” made her to won the National Film Award and Filmfare Critics Award for Best Actress and she also done a starring role in “Veer di Wedding ” (2018). Both the above mentioned movies rank among the highest grossing female led Hindi films. Sonam also raised awareness of breast cancer and LGBT rights which credited her as one of India’s most trendy celebrity.

Sonam Kapoor belongs to a very prominent actors Kapoor’s family. In the early childhood she was being trained in Khattak dance, classical music and also excelled at sports as basketball. As a teenager, she struggled with her weight, bad skin and hair growing on face and diagnosed insulin resistance. she wanted to be a director and writer and on her father’s recommendations to director Sanjay Leela Bhansali, she was appointed as an assistant.
