Sumit Antil was born 0n 6 July 1998 in the village of kewra, Sonipat, Haryana, Indian Sumit was found of becoming a wrestler since his childhood and used to train at the arena Sonipat to learn wrestling. Hiss father was an ex-air force officer and his father passed away when Sumit was only 7 years old. After such a big accident that he lost his left foot Sumit did not lose his courage. The wounds took time to heal and 8 months later Sumit started walking with a prosthetic leg. While studying at Dev Rishi Senior Secondary school in Sonipat, Sumit was introduced to the theme of para-athletics by Rajkumar, who was also a para-athlete. And despite not having one leg, he worked hard day and night and faced many hardships.
Sumit Antil Biography
Sumit is an Indian para javelin thrower. Sumit Competes in the F64 category, which pits athletes against one leg. Despite playing with a prosthetic left leg, he won the gold medal for Indian at the 2020 Tokyo Paralympics and made his host Indian famous in the world and showed everyone with his dedication and skill to win international medals. A person can achieve anything by working hard. He won the Paralympics final by scoring a world record throw of 68.55 meters. Sumit did not let his weajness weigh on him and built himself up to win his first international title at the 2019 World Para Athletics Championships held in Dubai.
