Karanvir Bohra is a famous actor, designer and producer of India and his real name is Manoj Bohra. He made his television debut in DJ’s Unit’s Just Muhabbat with the role of Kabir and his first acting role was in Tejaa (1990) as a child actor. He also worked as an assistant in a detective series C.I.D. Bohra got much appreciation with his work in the TV shows and television series like; Kasautii Zindagii Kay, Shararat, Naagin 2 and he also made his acting roles in the Hindi films ” Kismat Konnection”, Love You Soniye and Hamain Tum Se Payar Kitna. Bohra also participated in the several reality shows like; ” Nach Baliye 4″ , ” Jhalak Dikhla Jaa 6″ and in Bigg Boss 12.
Karanvir Bohra was born on 28th Aug, 1982 in Jodhpur, India and he belongs to a Pushkarana Brahmin family. His father Mahendra Bohra is a filmmaker and his grandfather Ramkumar Bohra is an actor producer. He was not academically inclined and was also not good in the field of science and technology and sports. First he got admission in science but he switched to commerce field and did his graduation in commerce from Sydenham College, Churchgate. Bohra was also well trained in Kathak dance for almost two years. On 3rd November 2006, he got married with a model VJ Teejay Sidhu and they became parents with twin girls ” Vienna Bohra ” and ” Raya Bella Bohra ” in 2016.
Career
Bohra started his career with acting role as a child artist in Teeja in 1990 and he made his television debut in DJ’s Creative Unit’s Just Muhabbat with the role of Kabir. Later he worked in a detective serial C.I.D and Achanak 37 Saal Baad as an assistant. His first leading role was in a commedy fantasy show ” Ronnie Screwvala’s Shararat ” and did his work in Kasautii Zindgii Kay in 2005. In 2008, he started his Bollywood career and hosted EK Se Badhkar Ek. Along with his wife, he pariticipated in a dance reality show ” Nach Baliye 4′. Bohra did his cameo role in the film ” Kismat Konnection ”. He rejoined the TV shows again in 2011. And he also participated in ” Jhalak Dikhla Jaa 6 ” which is a dance reality show.
Love Yoou Soniye is his regional Punjabi debut film along with his wife Teejay Sidhu in 2013. In the same year, he directed the Telugu film ” Hemant Madhukar’s Mumbai 137 KM ” alongside with Vedita Pratab Singh and Veena Malik. He participated in a famous TV serial Naagin 2 in 2016 and participated as celebrity contestant in the Bigg Boss 12. Bohra worked in his father’s produced film ” Humme Tumse Pyaar Kitna ” in 2019. He entered in web reality show ” Lock Upp ” in 2022 as a contestant and eliminated from the show on 52nd day.
