Harsh Sanghvi was born on 8th January, 1985 (age= 37 years as 2022) at Surat, Gujarat, India. He belongs to a well settled Gujarati Jain family. His father name is Ramesh Bhuralal Sanghavi who was the Diamond Merchant of Surat. The name of his spouse is Prachi Sanghavi and they have one son Aarush and one daughter Nirva. Harsh is not much educated and he is just 9th pass.
Career
Sanghavi was elected for the first time at the age of 27, The member of Legislative Assembly of Gujarat from the Surat city Majura in 2012. He is considered the youngest member of Legislative Assembly and he won the election 2012 with record breaking margin. In 2013, he was appointed as Youth BJP state Vice-President and was appointed as the National Vice President of Bhartaya Janata Yuva Morcha in 2017.
On 8th September, 2021, Sanghavi became Home Minister of Gujarat and allocated nine portfolios, which are Minister of Sports, Youth Affairs & Cultural Activities, Minister of Excise & Prohibition, Minister of Border & Security & Prisons and Minister of Home, Police Housing & Disaster Management. For all the assumed offices he was given independent charge.
During the COVID-19 pandemic; under his inspiration numerous people were entertained by food and medicines. He is considered the first MLA who started 200 bed oxygen supported hospital.
