David Bamber started his acting career in September 1973 by playing Pandarus in Troilus and Cressida at the Manchester Youth Theatre . From year 1983 he started worked in English Series and TV dramas including Privates on Parade, The Doctor and the Devil ,Hip Hopes , Heavy Weather , Who Bombed Birmingham ? and many more . In 1997 he played the role of Guy in film My Night with Reg and won Laurence Oliver Awards for Best Actor for his performance .
